pre-built binaries of Mosflm version 7.0.3

This directory contains pre-built executables of Mosflm v7.0.3 for a number of common platforms and operating systems. The Compaq Alpha and OS X versions have been tested reasonably thoroughly; the other versions have been tested to make sure that the commands in the GUI work as expected, and also that a test suite consisting of a number of common tasks also functions correctly.

We believe that the OS X versions will run under Leopard (OS X 10.5), but we do not yet build in that environment.

Graphical user interface

We recommend that users switch to the new interface iMosflm, rather than continuing to use the X11 interface. Development of the X11 interface has now stopped, and only serious bugs will be fixed in future. At some point, bug fixing for the X11 interface will also stop.

For those who still require it, a version of ipmosflm with a small X11 display (denoted SD) has been built for each platform; this is suitable for 1024x768 displays, but some of the fonts used make it more difficult to read the display. These executables are in all other ways identical to the large display copies.

These executables are the latest stable releases; they will run with iMosflm version 0.6.0 and newer.
