R&D activities 

The center is engaged in major R&D activities in the following areas. 

  • Biopesticides
  • Recombinant Protein and DNA vaccine development for dignosis and immuno prophylactic studies on human lymphatic filariasis
  • Bioprocezss engineering, scale up and optimization of processes for the production of various commercial enzymes and intermediates.
  • Identification of biological activity of specific plant products aimed towards new drug development
  • Probing molecular mechanisms involved in tissue destruction during specific infections
  • Resolution of chiral drugs using enzymes and molecular modellig of proteins and new drug design.
