Information service ( BTIS ) and Library Facilities  

The center is one of the sub distributed information centres set up by the Department of Biotechnology ( Sub DIC ), Govt of India. The Sub DIC has a Pentium II server with six Pentium nodes. This is meant to provide information service to users in the city as well as to train students in bioinformatics. The center has software on Simulation of Bioreactors, Symbolic manipulation, Molecular Modelling, and a host of other technical software.  

It also Provides internet facilities to students. The CBT Library has 200 journals covering Science, Technology and managemant. It has 1,80,000 volumes of technical books on various topics. It also has email, CD-ROM and Audio Visual facilities.
